As part of the Streamlining project focusing on the fishery assessment process, the purpose of this consultation is to collect stakeholder input on the options presented for harmonising overlapping fisheries.

Potential interactions with other work

The outcomes of this process will impact  the wider Streamlining project, as well as reviews of the MSC Fisheries Standard and the assurance model.

Next steps

Further details on MSC's response to the feedback received and next steps will be posted when finalised.

A workshop to review Streamlining Pilot Process and harmonisation will be scheduled for September 2017. Outcomes will be presented to our Technical Advisory Board Working Group in July. A further public consultation on the Streamlining project will be held in September 2017. Where appropriate these will be drafted as changes to the Fisheries Certification Requirements (FCR) version 2.1 and associated scheme documents currently scheduled for release in mid-2018.
