Purpose

The MSC Chain of Custody (CoC) program improvement seeks stakeholder inputs on the objectives on the proposed product information reporting and verification. The aim is to provide industry with best practice solutions on reporting product origin information efficiently, accurately and consistently across global supply chain.

Potential interactions with other work

This program item has been prioritised as part of the wider MSC CoC Program Review 2017. It has varying degrees of overlap with several projects including Digital Traceability, Traceability at the Fishery Level, and the Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing topics.

Next Steps

Following this consultation, the proposal will be refined and presented at a targeted stakeholder workshop taking place in mid-October 2016. The revised proposal will be presented for a second public consultation between March and April 2017.
