The ASC-FS aims to minimise the environmental and social impacts of the production of feed and feed ingredients whilst maintaining economically viable for the industry.

Current status

Work on the Mass Balance standard has been suspended while the possibility of including the key elements of this Mass Balance standard into the ASC Feed Standard are being considered by the ASC steering committee.

The first public consultation on the draft Mass Balance CoC Standard took place between 1 March and 30 April 2017.

A second public consultation took place in September 2017. This is happening in conjunction with the Aquaculture Stewardship Council’s (ASC) Feed Standard (ASC-FS).
