On-Shore Labour Practices consultation - August 2018

Purpose

This consultation seeks feedback on the proposal for new requirements for on-shore labour practices, which will be incorporated into the revised version of the Chain of Custody Default Standard.

All feedback will be considered in the finalisation of the CoC Default Standard v5.0 that is scheduled for release in February 2019.

Next steps

All feedback received during the consultation period will be published on this website after the consultation closes. To preserve the privacy of the respondent all feedback will be unattributed. A process of anonymisation will also be applied to the responses to preserve the privacy of third parties and remove any defamatory or commercially sensitive information, however this cannot guarantee to render the feedback completely non-identifiable.

Stakeholder feedback will be considered and the final wording for the revised CoC Default Standard will be amended as necessary and confirmed by the MSC Technical Advisory Board (TAB) and Board of Trustees, with the revised Standard scheduled for release in February 2019.
